BOOKING

1. What do I need to do to book a chauffeured vehicle?
You first need to first check the availability by completing our online enquiry form or calling us, then if it is available, we will need to take a deposit to secure your booking. Corporate clients will have thier own account facilities.

2.  All Chauffeur bookings have to be made in advance. What is the minimum time possible to secure a booking?
Subject to availability, a minimum of 24 hours is required. However, we may be able to supply a car at shorter notice of about 4 hours. We encourage you to call first and check the availability with us.

3.  How can I pay for my booking ?
MBE Chauffeurs accept all major credit and debit cards. (3% surcharges will apply.) Payment can also be made by PayPal, cheque, bank transfer or in cash. Late payments cannot be settled by cheque.

4.  When is the balance payment due?

For Wedding, Prom and Sporting event travel, the balance will normally be due 4 (four) weeks before the date of hire, however if our services are hired at short notice, then full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
5.  Can you send me an invoice ?

Yes. We will send you an invoice by email 14 days prior to the final balance being due. Invoices shall be paid in full within 14 days of issue thereof. If any invoices remain unpaid after the 14 days, such outstanding invoices shall immediately become due and payable with 10% surcharge.

6.  Will I receive confirmation for my booking?

Yes. MBE Chauffeurs will confirm your booking by email, unless you request it by another means. We ask that you check these details carefully and contact us immediately if you need to make any changes.

7.  Can you send me a receipt ?

Yes. We will always send you a receipt via email or post once a booking is confirmed and a deposit has been paid.

8.  When does the charge start?

Charges commence from the time you have requested the chauffeur to be available, to the time your requirement is fulfilled.

9.  Do you offer discounts?

We offer 10% discount for local weddings of a normal duration and mileage on week days and every day in Winter i.e. 1st November - 31st March.

10.  Is it more expensive to travel during the night or at unsociable hours ?

No. Unlike a taxi service, our costs remain the same for travel at any time of day or night.

11.  Will I pay more to travel on Bank Holidays?

Although we operate 24/7, 365 days of the year, special rates will apply for travel on Bank Holidays. Contact us for details.

12.   What about parking and congestion charges?

If parking/congestion charges should apply during your proposed duration of hire then we will discuss this with you at the time of booking and advise accordingly. 

CHANGES TO TRAVEL

13.  Can I change my booking before the date of travel ?

Yes - subject to availability. If you wish to alter the details of your booking, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.

14.  What if we need to change our journey plan on the day of travel ?

Requests for changes or additions to the agreed route or destination will be accepted subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate your requests.

15.  What if my plane or cruise ship is delayed ?

MBE Chauffeurs will monitor arrival information and if required, make amendments as and when necessary.

16.  I may want to change some of the details of hire at a later date, maybe add something or change a location. Can I do this?

We will always do our best to accommodate requests of this nature.  However, please be aware that we have quoted you based on the information you have supplied and this creates the contract agreed by both parties.  Any alterations likely to increase on time or mileage may incur additional costs. Additional time will be charged in half hour units or part thereof per vehicle. 

CORPORATE

17.  How do I pay?

The chauffeur will request you to sign a record of service and we will send you an invoice with a request to settle the account within 30 days by cheque or bank transfer (BACS). Individual company accounts will be set up for this purpose.

WEDDINGS

18.  Can we provide our own flowers in the car?

Yes, of course you may. We provide a complimentary silk flower arrangement, but we are able to arrange fresh flowers instead if you prefer, although this will incur an extra cost.

19.  Can we go to another area for more photo's?

Yes, although the extra location may be chargeable, timings and location dependant.

20.  I would like to arrive late at the church, will this be ok?

As we only allow our vehicles to cover one wedding per day, this should easily be arranged.

LUGGAGE

21.  How much luggage can I take?

The boot can comfortably hold 2 suitcases and 2 pieces of hand luggage.

22.  Will the chauffeur help us with our luggage ?

Yes. Your chauffeur will always help you with your luggage and do his best to assist you.

 

VEHICLE & CHAUFFEUR

23.  What vehicle will arrive to meet us?

MBE Chauffeurs GUARANTEE that the car you choose to book is the car you will receive for the period of your hire.

24.  Will the vehicle be clean and tidy when it arrives to pick us up ?

Yes. All our vehicles are presented in immaculate condition, cleaned and valeted before we arrive to meet you.

25.  Will my chauffeur arrive smartly dressed?

Yes. Your chauffeur will arrive in a grey suit, white gloves and traditional chauffeur cap for weddings and a dark smart business suit for corporate travel. You can however request your chauffeur to dress less formally if desired.

26.  How will I find my chauffeur ?

For Airport, Train and Cruise Transfers your chauffeur will be waiting for you in the arrivals area.  All our chauffeurs carry a "MBE Chauffeurs." board, bearing the name of the customer.  You will also have his mobile contact number and he will have yours. You can contact your chauffeur at anytime.

27.  Can I contact MBE Chauffeurs from abroad in case of an emergency?

Yes. You can either call us on +44 (0)114 360 2525 from abroad or alternatively you can email us at mbechauffeurs@hotmail.co.uk . Your chauffeur will provide you with a business card before your departure detailing our contact information, so if you unexpectedly need to change your return journey details, we can help assist you.

28.  What happens if my flight is delayed?

We monitor all flights to ensure that your car and chauffeur are there to greet you when you arrive.

29. I am arranging a car as a surprise, can you help me with flowers and chocolates?

We will always do our best to help with special requests of this nature.

LEGAL

30.  Is your company, vehicle and chauffeur licensed and fully insured ?

Yes. MBE Chauffeurs are fully licensed by Bassetlaw District Council.  We are also fully insured for hire and reward, including public indemnity and liability.  Our chauffeurs are also enhanced CRB checked.

31.  Can I smoke in the car ?

No. It is against UK law to smoke in a public vehicle and as our vehicles are licensed, this law applies.  MBE Chauffeurs operates a strict non smoking policy. 

32.  Do you accommodate children?

Yes, but please let us know if you will have children travelling with you, due to us potentially having to supply child car seats to comply with Health & Safety regulations and licensing laws.

33.  Do you allow pets in your vehicles?

Sadly, except for guide dogs, NO pets are allowed in our vehicles for health and safety reasons.
